Canon Eos 3

I have been patiently awaiting the arrival of my new Canon EOS 3. My anticipation was getting the best of me as I read endless camera reviews.

Upon returning home from work I was pleased to see the box was indeed in front of my door. That pleasure was quickly erased after I lifted the box. The box felt too light. I quickly went indoors. But before opening the box, I checked my email and voicemail messages. I was delaying a possible unhappy reaction. Why was the box so light? Did I get gipped? I purchased this camera on ebay. There was some earlier confusion with my zipcode with UPS. Was my karma screwed up?

Enough of this. I opened the box. Packing popcorn. Careful not to spill any out of the box. I sunk my hands deep into the white mess. Yes. There is something in here. It does feel like a camera. Why is it so light. My eyes finally found their subject. My Canon EOS 3 with Power Booster vertical grip was finally in my hands. And yes. The camera is light. It literally feels about half the weight of any digital slr that I have ever held. But the reviews complained of this camera being heavy. Hmm. After shooting digital for more than six years, I can attest to this camera not being heavy at all. As a matter of fact. I will be ordering a 2nd body before I even run my first roll of film through this one.

Tomorrow, I will run a couple rolls of color film through it. I will save my Tri-x until after this experience. But I can say this. I am very excited.
