Teach-In on the g-8 and Corporate domination!

Photo A Day - June 5, 2004

Today I attended a series of workshops meant to educate the public about some of the attrocities going on around the world and relating specifically to those leaders attending the G8. It was very informative. I also documented a demonstration at the Coca-Cola museum in Atlanta.

For those who might wonder what I hope to gain in this effort. I personally want to document the fact that everyone in America is not in agreement with our current administration. All Americans are not terrorists or dictators and we here in America actually do care about Human Rights and believe in using our God given rights and freedom of speech.

Why don't we just do a blanket protest on anyone, any company, any politician everywhere and be done with it? It seems as long as there are humans populating this earth, they are always going to do it wrong.

Frank, I'm unclear on exactly what the Federal Protective Service officerâ??s mandate was. Was he asking for ID from people who were merely passing by the Brunswick federal building, or was giving the "where are your papers" treatment to people who were trying to enter the building?

Let me clarify. The FPS was asking for identification from everyone. You had to have some identification to pass the Federal Building even if you weren't going in, if you were just walking past.

It was only taken a step further with a report when I started photographing what they were doing. My understanding is with the heightened (sp) state of security it was important that they knew who everyone was coming near the Federal Building.
